Shri Abhay Kumar is a Doctoral Fellow in English Literature, specialising in translation theories. He holds master’s degrees in both English Literature and Linguistics, which inform his interdisciplinary approach to the study of language and cultural transposition.

A native speaker of Bajjika, his personal and academic interests intersect at the confluence of literature and linguistics. He has contributed as a translator to The Book of Bihari Literature, edited by Abhay K. His current project, a translation of Gitiya, the first novella in the Bajjika language, is scheduled for release this year.
