Dinesh Kumar Mali
Sh. Dinesh Kumar Mali, a resident of Sirohi district of Rajasthan, has made his special identity in the literary world as a writer, poet, translator and famous critic. He is particularly adept at translating Odia and English literature into Hindi. He wrote his first book, ‘Na Hanyate’ as a tribute to his father. He has done important work on the works of eminent Hindi poet Udbhrant, Dr. Vimala Bhandari, Prof. Prabha Pant, English, Prof. Nandini Sahu and former Coal Secretary Shri Prakash Parakh. He has been the guest editor of the Gandhi special issue of the famous Hindi magazine ‘Duniya in Dinon’ edited by Dr. Sudhir Saxena and the Haldhar Nag special issue of the magazine ‘Urvashi’ edited by Dr. Rajesh Srivastava. He has played a vital role in designing the academic program/curriculum through his chapters in IGNOU Course under guidance of Prof. Nandini Sahu.
Three works translated from Odia to Hindi namely Pak Shivs’, Vishadeshwari’, ‘Rape’ and other stories have been translated into Kannada and one work Mahishasur ka Mouh’ into Manipuri. His original work, ‘Cheen Mein Saat Din’ has been translated into Odia under the title ‘Chinare Saat Din’ by renowned Hindi to Odia language translator Kanak Manjari Sahu. Radha Madhav – Ek Samagra Chintan’ is translated as ‘Radha Madhav – A Holistic Contemplation’ in English by Ritu Bhatnagar, Treta: Ek Samyak Mulyankan’ is translated in English as Treta: An Apposite Evaluation’ by Ritu Bhatnagar.
