Prof. Laxmidhar Behera is the Director of IIT Mandi and a distinguished expert in robotics, intelligent control systems, and AI applications. He previously served as a Professor at IIT Kanpur, where he led pioneering research in vision-based robotics and autonomous systems.

A Ph.D. graduate of IIT Delhi, he has over 25 years of academic and research experience. Prof. Behera has collaborated with leading industries on automation, drones, and cyber-physical systems.
