Dr Mir Islam
Dr. Mir Islam teaches at Nalanda University, where his work spans world literature, narratives of pain, narratives of climate change, Indigenous culture, and creative pedagogy. A translator and independent painter, he brings a distinctly multidisciplinary sensibility to both his scholarship and artistic practice. His work explores the rich intersections between text, image, and environmental thought. Mir remains committed to fostering critical inquiry, creativity, and cultural dialogue. He is currently engaged in developing innovative approaches to reading practices that bridge aesthetic experience with ecological awareness. His ongoing creative and academic pursuits reflect a continuous effort to reimagine how literature participates in shaping compassionate and sustainable futures.
