Section A – General Terms & Conditions
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using the website or registering for the Nalanda Literature Festival, you agree to abide by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or participate in the festival.
2. Registration & Ticketing
- Registration for events/workshops is subject to availability.
- Tickets and passes are non-transferable and non-refundable (except in cases of cancellation by the organizers).
- Attendees must carry valid identification at the venue.
3. Code of Conduct
- All participants and visitors must maintain decorum and respectful behavior.
- Any form of harassment, disruptive activity, or violation of rules may result in removal from the festival.
4. Intellectual Property & Media Rights
- All sessions, workshops, performances, and exhibitions are the intellectual property of the respective authors/artists.
- By attending, you grant the organizers permission to record, photograph, and use your likeness for promotional purposes.
- Unauthorized recording, reproduction, or distribution of content is prohibited.
5. Liability Disclaimer
- The festival is not responsible for any loss, theft, injury, or damage during the event.
- The organizers reserve the right to modify, reschedule, or cancel sessions in case of unavoidable circumstances.
6. Privacy & Data Usage
- Personal information (name, email, contact details) collected during registration will be used only for festival-related communication.
- Data will not be shared with third parties, except as required by law.

7. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of India, with jurisdiction in Patna, Bihar.
Section B – Volunteer Terms & Conditions
1. Registration Deadline
All volunteer applications must be submitted on or before 15th October 2025.
2. Age Requirement
Applicants must be 18 years or above at the time of registration.
3. Language Proficiency
- Working knowledge of Hindi and English is required.
- Volunteers from diverse Indian language backgrounds are welcome.
4. Interview Process
- Shortlisted applicants will be invited for an online interview.
- Notifications will be sent via email.
5. Mandatory Training
- Selected volunteers must attend a two-day offline training programme (compulsory).
6. Undertaking
Volunteers must sign an undertaking to follow all rules, regulations, and directions of the Organizing Committee.
7. Code of Conduct
Volunteers must maintain professionalism, discipline, and respectful conduct at all times. Misconduct will lead to removal from duties.
8. Certificate & Honorarium
- Volunteers will receive a Certificate of Participation.
- A basic honorarium will be provided after successful completion of assigned duties.
9. Roles & Responsibilities
- Specific tasks will be communicated in advance.
- Volunteers must follow the duty roster and supervisor instructions.
10. Schedule
- Volunteers must report to the venue by 19th December 2025.
- Final duty rosters and schedules will be shared via email.
