Reshma Prasad is an author, social activist, academic, and currently serves as a judicial officer at the Trial Court in Patna. Holding a Ph.D. and a law degree, she is the first transgender person in India to serve as a judicial officer in a trial court. Her book Bhartiya Vangmay evam Kaalakram: Kinnar Darshan (Prabhat Prakashan) has been published, and she also writes poetry. She trains individuals on transgender laws and has been a member of the national committee that drafted these laws, as well as an expert member of the National Transgender Council. Recently, she was nominated by the Governor as a member of the Senate of Patna University.
