Dr. Sanjay Kumar Manjul is the Additional Director General of the Archaeological Survey of India and a leading archaeologist. He has led landmark excavations at sites including Sinauli, Rakhigarhi, Binjor, Barnawa, and Dholavira, advancing understanding of Harappan and ancient Indian cultures. He has contributed to the conservation of heritage sites, development of archaeological museums, and UNESCO World Heritage nominations. He has published numerous papers, excavation reports, and a book, and serves as an expert member for multiple institutions. Besides archaeology, he is also a celebrated painter and poet.
