Anand Ranganathan

Anand Ranganathan is a scientist, columnist, and  Professor at the Special Centre for Molecular Medicine, Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi, where his research focuses on Directed Evolution and Pathogenesis with emphasis on Tuberculosis and Malaria. His columns have appeared in Swarajya, Firstpost, DNA, and Quartz, and he appears frequently on television debates. He is also the Consulting Editor of Swarajya and has authored five books, including Soufflé (Penguin, 2023) and Hindus in Hindu Rashtra (2023), with his forthcoming work on India’s forgotten scientists (Penguin, 2025).
