Divya Mathur

Divya Mathur, F.R.S.A., is the founder of Vatayan–Europe, Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, and founding member of Asha Foundation. A prolific and award-winning author, she has published eight story collections, eight poetry collections, and three novels including Tilism and Shaam Bhar Baaten, along with children’s literature and edited anthologies. Her works have been included in university curricula and widely researched, with nearly fifty theses written on her writings. Honored with the Padma Bhushan Moturi Satyanarayana Lekhan Samman, Vanmali Katha Samman, and the Arts Achiever Award (Arts Council England), she was recently felicitated at the National University of Singapore and by the Prime Minister of Mauritius at the World Hindi Secretariat. Recognized as one of the “Inspirational Women of the 21st Century,” Divya continues to be a leading voice in Hindi literature and diaspora writing.
