Faroghe Azzam, known as Azmi, is a Patna-based cultural activist and musician. He founded Community Jamming, a platform that united underground musicians in Bihar. Azmi popularized busking and public jamming, creating a vibrant band culture in Patna. He has worked with Oxfam India, Save the Children, Bihar Ek Virasat, and other organizations. In 2021, his work appeared in Shantanu Moitra’s series Songs of the River. He has produced a music album based on poems by poets of Bihar. Azmi also supports filmmakers and musicians by producing music and videos. For the last three years, he has been directing documentaries, including Bihar ke Qisse, which gained wide popularity. Since 2022, he has been leading Patna Beats to redefine Bihar’s cultural identity.
