Kalki Subramaniam is a celebrated Indian writer, poet, and artist, whose works like We Are Not the Others and Kuri Aruthean have been included in university curricula in India and abroad. Invited by the Sahitya Akademi and leading literary festivals across the country, she is widely recognized for her contribution to human rights, transgender, queer and lgbtqia+ literature. She is the founder of the Sahodari Foundation, empowering transgender communities through education, art, and entrepreneurship. Beyond writing, her creative pursuits span filmmaking, theatre, and visual art. As a trans empowerment architect and social scientist, she continues to inspire by celebrating queer resilience and promoting inclusion.
