Namita Gokhale is an Indian fiction writer, editor, festival co-director, and publisher. She conceptualized and hosted the Doordarshan show Kitaabnama: Books and Beyond and is a founder and co-director of the Jaipur Literature Festival. Her notable works include Paro: Dreams of Passion, Mountain Echoes – Reminiscences of Kumaoni Women, and The Blind Matriarch, among others. In 2021, she won the Sahitya Academy Award for her novel ‘Things to leave behind’.
