He is a career bureaucrat of 2000 batch, has held several key positions in the Government and is presently posted as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Education, Government of India. Dr. Shreyaskar is a well known author, columnist, and a poet. He has authored three books, 50 articles and a dozen poems. His poetic consciousness in Hindi got reflected for the first time in his poem, carried by Kadambini (1996), a reputed Hindi magazine. During his university days in Delhi he authored several ballets, one of which was titled, Toota Ye Vishwas Kyun, used by a prominent Kathak danseuse of Delhi. His collection of poems is likely to be published very soon.
