My name is Pushyamitra. I am a journalist by profession and a wanderer by heart. I am interested in issues like travelling, reading-writing and history-culture. I write on these subjects not only in the media but also on social media and some books have also been published on these subjects. I especially like to write on issues of rivers, environment, villages, society and development. Currently I work in India Today news magazine and write news of Bihar while living in Patna. I have studied from Navodaya Vidyalaya Purnia and Makhanlal Chaturvedi Journalism University, Bhopal. I have been doing journalism for the last 17-18 years. During this time I have worked in institutions like Navbharat, Lokayat, Amar Ujala, Hindustan, Ang Bharat and Prabhat Khabar. My published books are, novel Radio Kosi from Rajkamal Prakashan Group, history story – Jab Neel Ka Daag Mita(story of champaran satyagrah), reportage book – Rukatpur. Reportage book Kosi ke Vatavriksh from Ismad Prakashan and novel – Sunnair Naika from Shashi Prakashan.
