Sh. Tajender Singh Luthra, a former IPS officer and Director General of Police Chandigarh served for 34 years in the Indian Police. He has decisive executive leadership experience in law enforcement, criminal investigations, financial crimes and human resource management. He has also served in Delhi Police in different challenging capacities and has investigated many sensational crimes. While working as the Director General of Police Chandigarh, he handled many sensitive law and order situations and saved the city from massive riots and killings of innocent people. He has been awarded President's Police Medals for Meritorious Service and Distinguished Service. He is also a Positive Psychology expert with a Master of Applied Positive Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania (USA). He strives to make Indian police compassionate and empathetic. He is an eloquent TEDx Speaker. He conducts workshops to teach how to achieve more Happiness, Resilience, and Meaning in Life. Through his workshops, he has trained more than 1,000 police officers and young students to be happier, more resilient, and more purposeful. Tajender Singh Luthra TJ @LuthraTj is also a poet. His poems unravel the complexities of human existence, destiny, and dignity through intense thoughts, emotions, and behavior. His poems have been published in influential American Literary Journals - New York Quarterly, Lammergeier, New Plains Review, Wingless Dreamer, and Voices. His second book of poems has been translated into Russian language.
