A globally recognized academic leader and administrator, Prof. Sunaina Singh is celebrated for her profound impact on higher education in South Asia. Her career is marked by a unique blend of scholarly excellence and visionary institutional leadership.

Her transformative leadership is best exemplified by her pivotal role in re-establishing Nalanda University as its Vice Chancellor until recently, a historic achievement that has garnered international acclaim for her  visionary leadership. Prof. Singh’s ability to revitalize institutions is further demonstrated by the key leadership roles she held, including as Vice President of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR); Governing Board member Indian Institute of Advanced Studies, Shimla; Visitor’s Nominee (President of India) on the Executive Boards of over 12 Central Universities; as the first Indian woman President of the Bi-National Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute; and as Vice Chancellor of The English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU),  she implemented key reforms to enhance academic culture and build interdisciplinary research clusters along with bringing in operational transparency.
