Nalanda Literature Festivals

Nalanda was an ancient Buddhist monastic university in India, located in present-day Bihar. It was one of the world's first residential universities and a great center of learning from the 5th to 12th centuries CE. Scholars from China
Korea, Japan, Tibet, Mongolia, and Southeast Asia came to study there. The university was famous for its vast library, known as Dharma Gunj (Mountain of Knowledge), which was burned during invasions in the 12th century.
