BL Asaduddin Owaisi

Barrister Asaduddin Owaisi is an Indian politician, lawyer, and parliamentarian serving as Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha from Hyderabad, Telangana. He is President of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen and is known for his advocacy on constitutional rights, minority welfare, federalism, and parliamentary debate.

Born on 13 May 1969 in Hyderabad, he completed a Bachelor of Arts at Osmania University and qualified as a Barrister-at-Law from Lincoln's Inn, London. He began his political career as a Member of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly from the Charminar constituency in 1994, serving until 2004. He was elected to the Lok Sabha from Hyderabad in 2004 and has since been re-elected multiple times. In 2008 he became President of the AIMIM, succeeding his father, Sultan Salahuddin Owaisi. In Parliament he is known for his speeches and interventions on constitutional matters, public policy, and social issues.
