Sh. Kishore Keshav

Shri Kishore Keshav is a versatile cultural practitioner with nearly four decades of experience as a poet, writer, translator, and full-time journalist. He is a founder member-director of the Maithili theatre group Bhangima and Joint Secretary of the Patliputra Natya Mahotsav, and is actively engaged across literature, culture, theatre, radio, television, and film. He is also a skilled announcer, dubbing artist, and theatre trainer with specialised expertise in Maithili language, literature, and theatre.

He has written scripts for around a dozen television documentaries and serials and acted in some two dozen teleplays. A seasoned theatre professional, he has directed two dozen plays and handled technical design for more than 125 productions. He notably dubbed Roshan Seth's portrayal of Jawaharlal Nehru for the Maithili version of Bharat Ek Khoj. He has translated seven acclaimed plays into Maithili and published eleven books of poetry, criticism, and edited work.
