Shri Rajmohan Gandhi is an Indian historian, biographer, journalist, author, and peace activist, widely respected for his scholarship on Indian history, democracy, nonviolence, human rights, and reconciliation. A grandson of Mahatma Gandhi and C. Rajagopalachari, he has established his own distinguished reputation as a historian and public intellectual. He received the Sahitya Akademi Award in 2002 for his biography Rajaji: A Life, and has also received the International Humanitarian Award and honorary doctorates for his contributions to history, literature, human rights, and peacebuilding.
