Ms. Ritu Sharma
Additional Director General, CBDT
Ms. Ritu Sharma is an Indian Revenue Service officer of the 2005 batch, currently serving as Additional Director General in the CBDT under the Ministry of Finance. As Director of the National Gallery of Modern Art, New Delhi, from 2018 to 2020, she served as Co-Commissioner of the India Pavilion at the Venice Biennale 2019. She is a recipient of the Chevening Fellowship for Leadership and Excellence (2023).
She recently published Shakti: Tales of Power and Promise, a travelogue on the abodes of the Goddess Shakti. Writing is her enduring passion; besides contributing to print media, she publishes reflections and essays on Substack, offering thoughtful insight into the art ecosystem and the evolving discourse of the cultural sector.
