Shri Sanjeev Sanyal is an Indian economist, author, historian, urban theorist, and public policy expert, widely recognised for his work in economics, Indian history, public policy, and urban development. He currently serves as a Member of the Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister with the rank of Secretary to the Government of India, and is Chancellor of the Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics.
