Sh. Sunit Tandon

Shri Sunit Tandon is President of the Delhi Music Society and was until recently Director of the India Habitat Centre. His former positions include Director-General of the Indian Institute of Mass Communication, Chief Executive of Lok Sabha Television, Festival Director of the International Film Festival of India, Goa, and General Manager of the National Film Development Corporation.

A prominent face on Indian television as a news anchor on Doordarshan and LSTV from the late 1980s onwards, he was also a radio broadcaster. He continues to work in theatre as an actor, sound designer, and director, having acted in around 250 productions and directed some thirty, including plays by William Shakespeare, Jean Racine, George Bernard Shaw, Noël Coward, Neil Simon, Tom Stoppard, Gurcharan Das, and Nicholas Kharkongor. He has also directed three Western classical opera productions for the stage. More recently he has appeared in feature films including Dil Bechara, Bell Bottom, and Tejas.
