Former Chief Secretary of Bihar
Shri Tripurari Sharan is a former Indian Administrative Service officer. During a career spanning nearly four decades, he served as Director of the Film and Television Institute of India, Pune, for more than four years, and as Director General of Doordarshan for three. He has contributed to several national and international symposia and conferences on cinema and audio-visual media.
He has been closely associated with the world of Hindi literature. His debut novel Madhopur ka Ghar was published by Rajkamal Prakashan in 2023 and translated into English by Arunava Sinha as Our Madhopur Home (Simon and Schuster). His second Hindi novel, Antim Ashray, has recently been published by Setu Prakashan. He retired as Chief Secretary of Bihar and currently serves as State Chief Information Commissioner, Bihar.
