Sh. Upen Rabha Hakacham

Shri Upen Rabha Hakacham is a celebrated Assamese writer, folklorist, and linguist. Renowned for his prolific work on the Rabha language, folklore, and the cultural heritage of North-East India, he has authored and edited more than two dozen influential books spanning folk literature, creative essays, and ethnographic studies. His writing captures the traditions, languages, and everyday lives of Assam's diverse communities, and he has received numerous awards for his literary contributions and for his role in preserving and promoting the region's oral and written traditions.
