Shri Virender Sehwag is a former Indian cricketer, legendary opening batsman, and former captain of the Indian national cricket team. Widely regarded as one of the most destructive and explosive batsmen in the history of international cricket, he represented India across all three formats from 1999 to 2013. He holds the historic distinction of being the first Indian batsman to score a triple century in Test cricket (309 against Pakistan in Multan) and is one of only four batsmen in Test history to score two triple centuries.
Throughout his illustrious career, he played a crucial role in India's major international triumphs, including winning the 2007 ICC World Twenty20 and the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup.
