Sh. Faroghe Azzam
Cultural Activist & Musician
Shri Faroghe Azzam (Azmi) is a Patna-based cultural activist and musician, founder of Community Jamming - a platform that brought together underground musicians in Bihar and popularised busking and public jamming, fostering a vibrant band culture in Patna.
He has collaborated with Oxfam India, Save the Children, and Bihar Ek Virasat. In 2021, his work featured in Shantanu Moitra's series Songs of the River. He has produced a music album based on poems by Bihar's poets and supports filmmakers and musicians through music and video production. Over the last three years he has directed several documentaries, including the acclaimed Bihar ke Qisse, and since 2022 has led Patna Beats, an initiative to redefine Bihar's cultural identity.
